Eri Kroh, Founder and President

Eri Kroh

Eri Kroh is Founder and President of Sandstone Properties, Inc. a premier investor and manager of commercial retail, industrial and office properties. A seasoned real estate professional, Eri has overseen Sandstone’s immense growth over the last fourteen years.

Eri Kroh received his formal training as an electronic engineer in Israel and England. Upon moving to the United States in 1986 he launched a company which distributed medical laser technology. The company excelled and he began investing in real estate as a way of putting his hard-earned profits to use. Eri purchased his first large property in 1994, and with it, founded the company he named Sandstone Properties. Ultimately he left the laser distribution business to focus full-time on what had become his passion: the purchase of real estate properties that will deliver solid returns for Sandstone’s investors.

Sandstone manages an expanding portfolio of properties located primarily in Southern California with additional properties in Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida and Costa Rica. Sandstone, under Eri’s leadership, has an innovative corporate culture with a high level of expertise in operations, leasing, finance, investment management, acquisitions, dispositions and development.

Dave Garcia, Vice President

Dave Garcia

With a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Loyola Marymount University and an MBA in Real Estate & Corporate Finance from USC, Mr. Garcia brings to Sandstone Properties an extensive background of over 20 years in professional real estate management.

Mr. Garcia previously worked at Kilroy Realty Corporation as Director of Asset Management, overseeing the management and leasing of approximately 2.8 million square feet office and industrial properties located in the Los Angeles region. Prior to Kilroy, Mr. Garcia worked for The Voit Companies as General Manager of the 2.3 million square foot Warner Center project, located in Woodland Hills, California.

Joining Sandstone Properties in 2003, Mr. Garcia currently oversees the day-to-day corporate operations of managing and leasing 50 commercial buildings totaling over 3.5 million square feet. Additionally, Mr. Garcia contributes to the evaluation of acquisition opportunities and subsequent due diligence review.

Elaine Burkow, Controller

Elaine Burkow

Ms. Burkow joined Sandstone Properties in June, 2006, bringing an extensive background of real estate financial management to her position as Controller.

In addition to providing Real Estate Financial Management, Consulting and Support for companies like Grubb & Ellis., Cushman & Wakefield, Charles Dunn and Aames Financial, Ms. Burkow most recently served five years as Chief Financial Officer for Global Integrity Realty Corporation. As CFO of Global Integrity, Ms. Burkow's responsibilities included cash management, banking and investor relations, financial reporting and accounting and property management systems.

As Controller for Sandstone Properties, Ms. Burkow is currently responsible for cash management, banking and investor relations, financial reporting, accounting software systems and human resource/payroll/benefit activities.

Nikki Char, Portfolio Manager

Ms. Char began her 25 year career in real estate at the building developer firm of Eastern Pacific, where she managed existing buildings and new construction projects across the country. In 2003, Ms. Char was recruited as Property Manager for Los Angeles based Apex Realty, Inc., where she served until joining Sandstone Properties in 2005. As Portfolio Manager, Ms. Char currently manages over 1.75 million square feet across 25 properties. She is responsible for overall financial management and performance of the properties, as well as managing her team in overseeing all aspects of property development, maintenance and relations with tenants, investors, brokers, lenders, attorneys and accountants.

Heather Bernardi, Portfolio Manager

Ms. Bernardi joined Sandstone Properties in 2004 after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. in English Literature. In early 2006, Ms. Bernardi was promoted to Portfolio Manager and currently manages over 1.75 million square feet across 25 properties. As Portfolio Manager, Ms. Bernardi is responsible for the overall financial management and performance of her portfolio which includes a combination of office, retail, and industrial properties. In addition to overseeing her team in all aspects of property development, operations and maintenance, Ms. Bernardi is responsible for all correspondence and relations between the tenants, vendors, attorneys, brokers and lenders associated with the properties in her portfolio.

Tawny Mitchell, Investor Relations

Tawny Mitchell

Ms. Mitchell is responsible for managing the Investor Relations department for the firm, including investor reporting, communications and inquiries. She tracks investment information for all properties and provides database management services. In addition to her investment relations duties, Ms. Mitchell oversees the firm's marketing program, and also provides administrative support to the president, Eri Kroh and the Sandstone executive management team.
